Walks for Relaxation and Health

An increasing number of companies are providing, or encouraging their staff to take exercise as part of their occupational health programme.  Maintaining good occupational health is associated with:

  • A reduction in absence from work due to sickness
  • Improved staff performance and motivation
  • Better staff retention
  • Reduction in risk and potential of litigation
  • Increased productivity and profits

Exercise doesn't have to be confined to a gym or fitness centre.  Outdoor fitness and outdoor exercise in general can be much more exciting and rewarding than working out inside.  The benefits of walking and the effect on people's physical and mental well-being are widely documented and include:  a reduction in the risk of serious illness or disease; helping to control body weight; helping with flexibility and co-ordination; reducing stress; and general enhanced mental well being.

We can provide a range of different types of enjoyable guided walks in the beautiful Peak District countryside for relaxation and health, and tailored to your company's unique requirements.

If you are located within the Peak District or Derbyshire we can provide a programme of regular guided walks in your local area for your staff as part of your company's ongoing occupational health programme.  We are equally happy to provide one off walks, maybe to fit around a conference or training event in the Peak District or Derbyshire.  Choose from full day walks, half day walks, or just an evening or lunchtime stroll.

Our relaxation and health walks service includes:

  • Suggestions and ideas for the perfect walk, or regular walking programme to meet your company and staff's requirements.
  • Route planning and risk assessment.
  • Pre-event advice on what participants should wear and bring.
  • The full services of a relevant number of friendly knowledgeable guides to ensure that your staff can have an enjoyable walk in safety.
  • Additional interest can be added with information about the countryside, local history, wildlife, geology etc.
  • Suggestions for local hotels, conference centres, restaurants, or pubs, if required.
  • Provision of packed lunches with freshly filled rolls from a local bakery or catering firm if required.
